Jammu, Apr 20: Divisional Level One Day workshop on Adverse Events Following Immunization Jammu Division was held today at RIHFW Nagrota Jammu. The workshop was Organized by Directorate of Family Welfare, MCH and Immunization in which all aspects of AEFI Surveillance were discussed. Speakers and experts from the Directorate of family welfare J&K, Govt Medical College Jammu, WHO NPSP Jammu, State AEFI Committee who presented different topics covering all aspects of AEFI Surveillance included Dr G .S Saini HOD Pediatrics GMC Jammu, Dr Dinesh Kumar HOD SPM GMC Jammu, Dr Vishal Tandon Associate Professor Pharmacology GMC Jammu, Dr Qazi Haroon SEPIO JK, Dr Ravinder Pal Singh SMO WHO NPSP Jammu, Dr Anila koul Divisional Epidemiologist Jammu, Dr Ruchita Mahajan Microbiologist GMC Jammu. Dr Arun Sharma Director Family Welfare MCH and Immunization J&K reiterated that in collaboration with GMC Jammu & Srinagar the department will strengthen AEFI Surveillance throughout the State. He impressed upon all the participants to percolate the information in the field and all grass root level workers should be trained and ready to deal with any kind of AEFI.
