TSO ‘demands’ bribe from ration dealers

Poonch, Apr 17: Ration dealers of Balakote Tehsil have levelled serious allegations against Tehsil Supply Officer who holds the additional charge of store keeper in CAPD department. According to the locals, he demands commission and cash from them for smooth supply and one who fails to grease his palms has to face the brunt of the official’s apathy sources said here today.
Some dealers who wished not to be named told Early Times that TSO Balakote Abdul Kabir is openly demanding bribe from them.
They alleged that the official demands two bags of rice out of allotment of 50 rice bags and by cash Rs 1000 from each dealer before releasing their due allotment quota. It any one among us in opens his mouth he has to face his brunt of anger, they further alleged.
Lashing out at the monopoly of the government official, social activist Er M.R. Kazafi said the TSO Balakote should desist from such mal practices. He urged the higher ups in the CAPD department to take serious note against the erring official.
Meanwhile when contacted Assistant Dircetor food and supplies Ranjit Singh told Early Times that I have received a similar complant against the CAPD official and a legal action against him will be his tiated sooner and if he is found indulged in any kind of mal practices as he has been alleged by locals as well as dealers, a strict action under law will be taken, Singh maintained.
