On return from New Delhi, NC leader attacks Congress
4/22/2019 11:13:02 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 22: In an unusual development, a senior leader of the National Conference on return from the national capital is suddenly speaking against the Congress party even though both the parties are otherwise seen as allies in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Though the National Conference has opted for a "friendly fight" with the Congress in the ongoing Parliament polls in the state, the NC sounds suddenly different hinting at a "change in the political ideology" of the regional party.
During a rally in south Kashmir, where the NC claims to be having "understanding" with the Congress, the regional party has fired salvos on the national party.
Senior leaders of the NC including the one who was recently outside state has been speaking against the Congress.
The twist in the story has come only after the said leader returned to Kashmir after camping in New Delhi.
The leader had been in New Delhi since the evening when the polling for Srinagar constituency had ended last week.
Sources said the NC leader had rushed to New Delhi after holding emergency meeting with his party cadres in Srinagar.
Sources said in the national capital the NC leader had been in contact with some of the prominent leaders from other parties and also some "old hands on Kashmir."
Sources said after around four days of stay there he returned to Kashmir with a new "style of mind for campaigning."
On returning to Kashmir the NC leader is understood to have told his party colleagues about the "change in strategy."
Sources said it was decided at the meeting that NC would be spewing venom against the Congress in the coming days as well.
Sources said the NC deliberately made remarks against the Congress as a part of the "understanding discussed in New Delhi."
Despite repeated attempts the NC leader couldn't be contacted for comments.
