Samba, Apr 24: Samba Police rescued four bovine animals and arrested driver of the vehicle during a Naka checking at NHW Tapyal.
According to sources, acting on reliable information on Wednesday, a Police Party of Police Station Ghagwal headed by Rajeev Kumar SHO during routine vehicle checking at Naka NHW Tapyal intercepted one Mahindra vehicle bearing Regd. No. JK02W-8597 which was on its way to Srinagar. During checking of the said vehicle four bovines were tied with ropes in a very cruel manner inside the vehicle which were being transported illegally without any permission.
The accused driver identified as Ajay Kumar, Jammu was arrested on the spot and vehicle used was also seized. All the bovines were rescued and shifted to safer place. In this regard, a case FIR No. 42/2019 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PC Act was registered at P/S Ghagwal and further investigation was taken up. |
