Reasi, May 1: Progressive Dairy Farmers of District Reasi are exhorted to join hands together to form and get registered Dairy Cooperatives in various dairy belts of Reasi, which can be beneficial for the farmers in a long way. Various bottlenecks as well as difficulties of production, marketing, knowledge dissemination; value addition, connecting forward as well as backward linkages can be overcome while operating through a registered Cooperative than struggling at a individual level. Reasi being just 2 hrs from Jammu and with an internationally renowned Holy place Katra in between has a huge scope for Dairy and related products, Katra town again having SMVD University and the Narayana Hospital/ Establi-shment and the daily Yatri influx being a permanent consumer base, provide a huge opportunity to improvise the Dairy industry operations. Again liberal funding and support can be expected easily for a registered Cooperative. While addressing the farmers and the press on 01-05-2019 at Chief Animal Husbandry Department, Reasi detailed about other schemes like KCC,SPCA ,Registration of 05 or more animal dairy farms; Dairy animal Insurance Scheme etc and urged the Dairy farmer brethren of District Reasi to come forward especially the youth and women entrepreneurs and try to become self sufficient. |
