JAMMU, May 1: About 20 newly elected Panchs and Sarpanchs of different villages adjoining Katra and Kakryal paid a visit to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital (SMVDNSH), Kakryal, Katra. The visiting delegate comprised Rajinder Kumar Thapa (Dadura), Suresh Kumar (Panthal), Ashwani Kumar (Bhagta), Yahoor Hussain Shaw (Bhagta), Sudesh Kumar (Manoon), Ashik Kumar (Dhirti), Choudary Lal Singh and Chander Mohan Singh (Sool), Goutam Kumar (Pouni), Sham Lal (Hutt), Krishan Singh (Agar Jitto), Prem Lata (Agar Jitto), Sohan Singh (Purana Darroor), Rekha Devi (Purana Darroor), Jarnail Singh (Treyeen Mamyari), Mohd. Rafeeq (Bhagta) and Ravi Kumar (Katra).
Their visit was marked by fruitful discussions with Dr (Brig) Man Mohan Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer and KS Dattatrey Facility Director of the hospital. The visitors were also taken for a tour of the hospital and were shown various state of the art facilities such as a modern Cardiac Care Unit (capable of handling complex heart surgeries / cardiac emergencies round the clock), fully equipped Emergency department with deployment of specialist doctors and aState of Art Cancer Institute with J&K's first Linear Accelerator and PET CT Scan equipment.
The visiting delegates were quite appreciative of excellent infrastructure of the hospital and expressed that with the operationalization of SMVDNSH, people of the adjoining region are not required any more to travel to other cities for the treatment. |
