PHE workers gathered at Dak Bungalow Doda and staged a protest demonstration here, demanding release of their pending wages and regularization. The workers have been were raising slogans against the Government for not realeasing of their long pending wages which has been withheld for past more than years.
State President PHE Tanveer Hussain said that, Over 23000 is in Jammu province and 9000 workers are working in Kashmir valley have to face immense financial hardships from last 20 years. Over wages is pending from more than 52 months as it becomes badly affected for them to bear the daily need expenses of our families as Ramazan month is coming. we can't live like this. We have a family to run. They said, we have been working tirelessly for the department but unfortunately our wages are pending since last years. Govt have been given false assurance for regularization of PHE workers but the govt never fulfilled its comittment and continue to keep the fate of the workers in the lurch. It is unfortunate that, the state administration presently headed by Governor Satya Pal Malik has also ingoredour plight where as we had great exception from Governor but no positive step has been take so far.
The protesting workers demanded that their pending wages to be released at the earliest by implementing SRO 520 and should be regularized all the workers before Assembly Elections.
