DYSS organizes Athletic Meet

Hiranagar, May 1: Department of Youth Services and Sports organized athletic meet for under 14 and under 17 years boys and girls for zone Hiranagar here at sports stadium Hiranagar. The competitions are being organized under the directions of district youth services and sports Officer Shobha Billawaria and under the supervision of zonal physical education office Yog Raj Sharma. A total of 175 athletes of zone Hiranagar participated in today's events. Boys under 14 years: Diljaan Singh of Sai International School Hiranagar, Kabir Das of Government Middle School marheen, Saurav Singh of Government Middle School Chhan Khatrian, Sahil Singh of SRM Chakra secured first position in 100, 200, 400 and 600 metre race respectively. In high jump, long jump, shot put and discus throw vansh Kumar of middle school jandi, and Ali Mohammed of Middle School Kattal Brahmana got the gold medals respectively. Boys under 17 years: Maskeen Ali of Government Higher Secondary School Hiranagar, Raghuveer Sharma of High School chadwal, Yuvraj Singh of Higher Secondary School Chakra, Atul Verma and Abhay Singh of public model Higher Secondary School Hiranagar and Abhishek Sidra of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Hiranagar secured first position in 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500 and 3000 metre race respectively.
