DPS Jammu Win medals in inter-school district level tournament

JAMMU, May 1: Students of Delhi Public School, Jammu brought laurels to the school and their parents by winning gold medals in U-14 (Boys) & U-17 (girls) in Inter-School District level Speed Ball and Wushu Tournament organized by Youth Services & Sports (boys & girls) held at M.A Stadium (Indoor Complex), Jammu from April 22 to 25 and in March 2018. The students who won medals in Speed Ball include Single U/14 (Boys) category Atharva Gupta (VI-G), Single U-17 (Girls) category, Vedhita Arora (IX- E) while in Double U-17 (Girls) category Kanika Dewan (IX-J) and Anushka Gupta (VIII-E) bagged the medals.
In Super Solo U-17 (Girls) category Mishthi Gupta (IX-E) was the medal winner. DPS Jammu Girl Mahika Sharma (V-I) won gold medal in District Wushu Championship held in March 2018. She also won silver medal in 15th J&K State Wushu Championship organized in collaboration with Directorate of Physical Education, University Jammu (JU) and J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC) at Gymnasium Hall.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra congratulated all the winners and their coach Kulbushan Sharma and Sunil Dev Singh for the achievement. Headmistress, Meenu Gupta also applauded the entire team.
President, RCT, MK Ajatshatru Singh, PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh and Director, SS Sodhi congratulated all the winners and their parents.
