KATRA, May 1: The three day SMVDSB Gurukul Sports Meet Phase-I concluded today at Shrine Board's Sports Complex in a well attended function. In all 146 players from 6th to 12th classes took active part in the events of Basket Ball, Table Tennis, Volley ball and Tug of War. Simrandeep Singh, Chief Executive Officer SMVDSB was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He congratulated the winners, runners up teams for winning trophies and medals and complimented all participants for their healthy participation and exemplary discipline exhibited by them during the tournament.
He said that the sports meet shall be made a regular feature of Gurukul. Simrandeep Singh presented trophies and madels to the winning teams and individuals for their achievement. He later declared the tournament closed. Ashok Kumar, Director Sports, SMVDSB gave a brief account of the level of participation, results of the disciplines covered so far during the said sports meet. |
