CBSE Class XII results 2019 announced, 83.4% pass

NEW DELHI: The Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday released the Class 12 results for all regions on the board's official website - cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in.
The total pass percentage for the country is 83.4%. The region with the highest pass percentage is Thiruvananthapuram at 98.2%, followed by Chennai at 92.93% and Delhi at 91.87%. The percentage of students who passed in international schools is 95.43%.
Joint toppers for the exam are Hansika Shukla and Karishma Arora with 499 marks out of 500.
Girls, like in previous years, performed better than boys by 9%. Some 88.70% of girls passed, followed by transgenders at 83.3% and boys at 79.4%.
Kendriya Vidyayala Schools had a pass perentage of 98.54%, Tibetan schools were at 96%, government-aided schools were at 88.49% and private schools were the lowest of the lot at 82.59%.
The board had conducted the Secondary Examination (Class 10) and Higher Secondary Examination (Class 12) for the academic session year 2018-19 in February-March 2019.
Around 13 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 examination conducted by the CBSE.

The results of CBSE Class 12 Arts, Science and Commerce students is now available on the official website of the Board - cbse.nic.in. The students who appeared for the class 12 exam 2019 can also check their result on other websites like - cbse.examresults.net, cbseresults.nic.in and results.gov.in.
