BJP has firm commitment to its core ideology: Chrungoo
5/2/2019 6:42:18 PM

Jammu
Bharatiya Janata Party held a meeting of the former officers of Government, Banks and Public Sector Undertakings at its headquarters at Jammu today. The meeting was presided over by S.S. Bijral IPS, former IGP and Spokesperson of State BJP. Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, BJP State Spokesperson on Kashmir Affairs presented the Welcome address and also conducted the proceedings of the meeting. Kulbhushan Mohtra, Incharge Library and Documentation presented the vote of thanks.
The meeting among others was attended by S.P. Sharma, Vijay Gupta, A.K. Bhat, Yashpal Singh, Rajaji Kachroo, T.B.Kaul, Yashpal Sharma, Dr. Ashok Sharma and Subhash Singh Manhas. Ravinder Mahajan, former Director, Finance and Bimal Tikoo, former Development Commissioner also graced the occasion.
Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, in his welcome address and the proceedings of the meeting said that the experienced people in the administration and government have a large role to play for bringing a change in the attitude of the society towards a positive change. BJP core ideology represents a new thinking about the world, nation and the Indian society. We have deep commitment to our working agenda that has been promised in the manifesto besides our firm commitment to our core ideology. The core ideology of the BJP needs to be taken to the rank and file of the society at large and the experienced and senior people of the society have a role to play in this context.
The mainstream Kashmir centric political parties have been raising the regional, sectarian, communal and separatist issues over the last seven decades only to ensure them their political positions and seats of power. They have been exploiting their position in furthering the secessionist ideology and hoodwinking the opinion of the gullible. The youth of Kashmir has been fed with the false indoctrination and communal sentiments only to be available later for these political parties to suit their ends. Terrorism, extremism and secessionism have been used as the bargaining chip over the last seventy years. This perpetual blackmailing has to end sooner than later. BJP leadership has made it clear that Article 370 and Article 35A will have to go as soon as the party gets the required legislature numbers.
S.S. Bijral in his address said that it is a welcome initiative to involve senior citizens in the party as an intellectual back up and a potential force to transform the society to achieve ideological goals. BJP has always said that retirement in service should induce one to devote towards the service of the humanity. Party is very enthusiastic to open its gates for intellectuals, experienced and well known public figures of the society. PM Narendra Modi has brought a great change in the outlook of the society towards the issues of general welfare. People's welfare forms an inherent part of our agenda.
He said that the members of the Group should also take up issues of people's concern besides contributing to involve society into the ideological base of the party. He maintained that nation "first and self last" will remain the guiding mantra of the party for all leaders and activists of the party anywhere and everywhere.
