BJP committed for UT status to Ladakh: Sat

Kargil: Inducing more energy into the Lok Sabha campaign of Ladakh seat, Former State President BJP and Ex Minister Sat Sharma (CA) reached out to inhabitants of far flung Maita, Youjulk in Tai –Surly Block and Taisuru at Dumsana Block of District Kargil. Despite heavy snowfall witnessed in the areas, BJP leader along with other senior leaders of the region interacted with the inhabitants and also held series of polling booth meetings with the BJP activists of both blocks. He was also accompanied by Councillors Zakir and Zainab.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma asked the polling booth workers to remain focused and avoid leaving the ground until elections are over. He said BJP is the party that is solely owned by the activists and it is the efforts of each and every Karyakarta that has led BJP to become the world’s largest party.
He said that BJP released its manifesto for the region and it has mentioned that party under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed for Union Territory status to Ladakh. Ellaborating the promises made by BJP in the manifesto, he said that Party if voted will strive for inclusion of Bhoti Language in the 8th schedule of the Constitution of India, early completion of Zojila tunnel, Solar power project in region, new Districts in Leh-Kargil, completion of civil airport at Kargil, completion of power lines in Leh and Kargil, opening of Medical & Engineering Colleges and opening of Kailash – Mansarover Road via Demjok for pilgrimage & tourism.
He said Special employment package mentioned in the manifesto for both the educated & un-educated youth of Ladakh was the need of the hour and youth of region will not be dissatisfied as more jobs will be introduced. He added that Government will also focus on providing best mobile phone connectivity in all rural areas and border villages of Ladakh and many more.
He asked the party activists to promote the vision statement of BJP amongst masses and also stated that only BJP works for betterment of society, people must support the developmental vision of Prime Minister so that development continues to persist in the region, he added.
