Moungri mela arrangements discussed

UDHAMPUR, MAY 02: To ensure smooth conduct of 3-day Annual Shiv Parvati Caves Shrine Moungri mela, commencing from May 15, 2019, the arrangements for the event were discussed here at a meeting of district officers and mela committee members with Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Gurvinderjeet Singh in the chair.

Threadbare discussion related to arrangements for security, sanitation, healthcare, transport, Traffic, drinking water and power supply, market checking, ration supply, cultural programme and sports were held.

ADC directed the officers to ensure that all arrangements pertaining to their respective departments are made well in advance and in an effective manner. He stressed on proper cleanliness at the mela site during the mela days.

The ADC asked the Mela Officer (Tehsildar, Moungri) Pankaj Singh to visit the Mela site in advance to assess the required arrangements and remain camped there during Mela days. He also directed Assistant Director, CAPD to ensure adequate ration supply besides checking rates lists of eatables at the Mela site. Executive Engineer, PWD was asked raising temporary sanitation units and PHE for drinking water supply etc.

Chief Medical Officer was asked to ensure deployment of doctors with medicine. It was informed in the meeting that a wrestling competition will be organized by the Indian Style Wrestling Association and local Dangal Committee.
