Rajouri admin deploys staff for 25 Mobile schools

RAJOURI MAY 02: District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad today deployed teaching staff for Mobile Schools which has started function with the six monthly migration of the nomadic population of the district.

Chairing a meeting of the concerned department, the DDC was informed that 25 schools are moving with the nomadic Gujjar and Bakerwal families later this month as part of their annual migration to ensure that the migrating students have access to proper education facilities during stay in dhoks.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sher Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mohd Ashraf, Chief Planning Officer Shama-Un-Ahmed,Assistant Regional Transport Officer Inzar Ahmed and concerned ZEOs.

The mobiles schools with 410 enrolments (222 boys and 188 girls) will move with the migratory population. They have been provided with 45 teachers who will run the schools.

Another 41 schools for tribal population would remain stationary which will cater to 1,470 students including 820 boy students and 650 girl students with 95 teachers.

The chair was informed that the certificate of attendance for both teachers and students is given by the ZEOs of the schools where the students and teachers have migrated.

It was informed that books and uniform have been provided to the students well before migration. He further said that the mobile schools without accommodation will be provided buildings under TSP plan. There are 09 schools without own building and are operating from rented accommodation. The schools shall be taken up in convergence mode.

The DDC directed the ZEOs to provide the land details of the mobile schools without buildings.

Accordingly DPRs shall be prepared and all the 9 school buildings shall be taken up for construction during the current financial year.
