DLRC/DCC meeting held at Kishtwar

kishtwar, May 2: A meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) was convened by the Lead Bank Office, , under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC), Angrez Singh Rana to review the performance of Banks with regard to achievement under Annual Credit Plan of 2018-19.
The meeting was attended by ACR, Dr. Amir Hussain, LDO RBl, LDM, Cluster Head JK Bank, Director RSETI, representatives from Line Departments and Major Banks of the District Kishtwar.
LDM Sanjeev Gupta apprised the meeting that the deposits and advances of the commercial banks as on March 31, 2019 stood at Rs.1476.51 crore and Rs. 480.77 crore respectively, thus achieving CD ratio of 32.56%.
The chairman expressed his concern over the low CD Ratio and exhorted upon banks to immediately undertake remedial measures to improve CD Ratio particularly to PNB and SBl whose CD Ration is far below than the National Average.
To cover the population at large under the social security schemes like PMJJBY and PMSBY, the DDC directed all the banks to adopt multi pronged approach to make their outreach possible in the far flung villages which are mostly unbanked.
The meeting had a threadbare review of all Govt. sponsored schemes.
He further advised the sponsoring agencies to conduct the awareness camps in the villages.
DDC has instructed to revisit the land offered for RSETI so that the proper spot of land identified for construction of RSETI building.
