Jammu, May 2: Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER organized an Orientation Programme for the parents of new admission in the school recently with a goal to ensure a positive atmosphere for learning as well as building up the healthy relationship between the parents, teachers and the school.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the parents by Manjari Sehgal, Academic Manager, Middle Wing. The school Principal Pramod Srivastava, also addressed the gathering. In his speech, he laid stress on effective communication between the teachers and the parents and also sought their support and suggestions so that the children could be provided the best for their holistic development. A short documentary, 'MIER- An Educational Saga' was also shown to the parents, depicting the educational journey of school. It was followed by introduction of Form teachers, Subject teachers and other team of teacher incharges who apprised the parents with the school ethos and the spirit behind the teaching methodology.
Mrs. Chanda Gupta, Academic Manager, Primary Wing, briefed the parents about the rules and regulations of the school. Furthermore, parents were told about the guidelines of the CBSE pattern of examination & were made aware about the Cycle Test, Periodic Assessments and Yearly Examination. Later, an overview of various subjects and co-scholastic activities was given which provided the parents an assurance that the curriculum involves self-directed and hands-on learning experiences.
