District level sports Tournament begins

BHADARWAH, May 2: Four day District level inter zonal tournament was today inaugurated here at government Higher Secondary School Boys.
The Tournament is organised by the Department of youth services & sports and it was declared open by the chief Guest ADC Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharthi. Tehsildar Bhaderwah, Principal and staff of host school, were also present on the occasion.
District Youth Sports Officers, A K Kotwal informed that about 430 students of different schools of 10 zones are participating in the Tournament in Boys category in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho Kho, volleyball, wrestling, badminton. On the first day, Gandoh beat Assar zone and Bhatyas Beat Gundna in U -17 kadaddi , in U-14 category Bhatyas beat Ghat, zone Bhaderwah beat Gandoh, in Kho Kho U-17, Zone Ghat beat Bhagwah and Zone Gundna beat Thathri, in U-14 , Doda beat Assar and Bhalla beat Ghat.
The matches were witnessed by a large gathering of students of local schools. The tournament will last for four days.
