Kathua, May 3: The Inter School District Level Tournament for U/14 & U/17 Years Boys & Girls in the disciplines of Hockey, Judo, Swimming, Handball, Rope Skipping, Taekwondo, Roll Ball, Speedball, Chess, Wushu, Mastogi-Do, Karate & Silamvam got underway at different venues of District Kathua. On its first day, the competitions of Hockey at Sports Stadium Hiranagar, Swimming at Jandi Pond Hiranagar, Judo at Sports Stadium Kathua, Handball at St. Xavier Convent School Hatli Morh were organized. The tournaments are being organized under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua. Shobha Billoria. Today a total of 193 Players of various Schools of District Participated in four events. At St.Xavier Convent School, U/17 Boys of Mount Litra School defeated Government HSS Sumwan by 3-1 goals in final match of Handball. U-14 boys in free style Swimming, Jatin Singh of M.S Mangloor, Hussain Din of M.M.S Hiranagar, Bhag Hussain of M.S Naun Chack stood first in 50,100 & 200 meters race respectively.
