Congress stages protest against Traffic Police

Udhampur, May 3: Senior Congress Leader and State Secretary of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) Sumeet Magotra has staged a Dharna against Traffic Department at Salathia Chown Udhampur. Congress workers were raising slogan against the management of traffic department. They also burn the effigy of traffic department. In this occasion while attraction with media persons Sumeet Magotra has disclosed that traffic management of Udhampur Town is totally collapsed due to the negligence of Traffic Department. He also said that from last six months Udhampur Town is becoming a hell due to the jamming like situation. He further said that today early in the morning 7 AM heavy jam was observed from Omara Morh to Jakhani Chowk up to 12:30 PM resulting many three years old school students have to wait for more than three hours to reach their school and it was too much difficult to stay at road side in hot summer even they were unable to attend the schools. Magotra also disclosed that due to the jamming like situation a large number of patient of Udhampur Town and its adjoining areas were inconvenient to reach District Hospital to reach for treatment. Congress leader said that it is more unfortunate that District Administration especially Traffic Department is unable to control the situation even they take very lightly public inconvenience.
