| DDC reviews water, power supply scenario | | | Early Times Report
Reasi, May 4: District Development Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib today reviewed the power and water supply scenario here at a meeting of PHE and Power Development Department functionaries.
The meeting discussed the measures for addressing probable water scarcity during peak summer season.
Additional District Development Commissioner Ramesh Chander was also present in the meeting.
The emphasised on maintaining close co-ordination between the two departments for swift resolution of any upcoming issue.
Officials from the twin departments raised issues being faced by them and were assured full cooperation by the district administration. They were directed to replace old machine parts and keep backup machinery ready to meet any unexpected breakdown. A list of most vulnerable areas was also prepared at the meeting and special attention was called for the same by the District Development Commissioner. The DDC suggested setting up Joint Control Rooms, consisting officials from both the departments to promptly address every issue pertaining to water supply.
