JAMMU, May 4: Amit Sharma, Special Secretary to Government, Transport Department with Additional charge of J&K Road Safety Council today shared his perspectives and several initiatives being taken for Commuter Protection and Awareness during ongoing National Seminar and Capacity Building Workshop on Consumer Protection being held in Central University of Jammu by the department of Department of HRM & OB here.
Amit Sharma was invited as a chief guest and a key resource person to share his views and distribute certificates amongst the participants of said national workshop wherein professors of colleges and universities, employees of FCS&CA and Legal Metrology departments were present.
Special Secretary Amit Sharma talked at length about protecting consumers from various malicious marketing campaigns, false advertisements, Internet and e-commerce frauds, hoax tele-marketing calls, data protection, self-awareness, etc. He was very keen in sharing several contemporary examples wherein the consumers got benefitted with self-awareness and approaching redressal forums to get proper compensation for facing undue harassment.
Amit, who is also handling J&K Road Safety Council, spoke about several initiatives of transport department for bringing systemic changes.
Later, Special Secretary Amit went on for a brain-storming session with the participants and several points of common interest were exchanged. |
