DDC Ramban listens to people's issues

RAMBAN, May 4: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Showkat Aijaz Bhat listened to the grievances and problems of local people, here today.
SSP Ramban Anita Sharma, ADC Dr. Basharat Hussain, ARTO Mohammad Saleem, Dy SP Traffic Suresh Kumar and various other district officers, President Municipal Committee (MC) Ramban Amit Kumar Bharti, President Beopar Mandal Ramban, Bushan Lal Gupta, EO, MC Ramban, Engineers of PHE PDD, GAMMON, BECON, and senior citizens besides large number of locals were present on the occasion.
The DDC redressed numerous issues on the spot and directed the concerned to resolve the other public issues immediately. DDC directed the PHE department to ensure adequate drinking water supply and repair of damaged pipe lines and Hand pumps, provide water supply through tankers service besides establish 24X7 control room for the convenience of public. He directed the GAMMON construction company to start macadamisation work on National Highway in Ramban town and make drainage system functional in coordination with Municipal Committee. PDD was asked to ensure adequate power supply in town and shift electric poles from drainage being constructed by BEACON. The BEACON authorities were directed to repair Maitra bridge.
Meanwhile, deputation of MC ward members led by its President called on the DDC and apprised him about their grievances besides raising several developmental issues.
Another deputation led by president local Beopar Mandal also raised issues of drinking water, power supply, tanker supply of drinking water, construction of toilet complexes, transport related problems, etc.
