Jammu, May 4: Nami Dogri Sanstha today organised a special programme to celebrate the birth centenary of Ustad Allah Rakha, world-renowned Tabla Maestro and son of the soil at K L Sehgal Hall.
On the occasion NDS conferred "Ustad Allah Rakha Ji Award" to eminent , renowned and veteran tabla player of the state Rajinder Kumar Raina.
D. C. Raina, Advocate General of Jammu and Kashmir state was chief guest on the occasion whereas Jenab Mohd. Aslam Qureshi IAS (Retd) presided over the function.
Sachin Sharma, CEO, Om Palace was guest of honour and Rohit Chaudhary social and RTI activist was special invitee on the occasion.
Roshan Bral a literary personality read a detailed paper in Dogri on life and works of Rajinder Kumar Raina.
Parshotam Kumar performed on Tabla accompanied by Raj Kumar Sharma who gave Nagma on harmonium.
Yashpal Yash conducted the program eloquently, extended vote of thanks to the participants and congratulate Sudesh Raj, former Programme Executive of AIR, wife of Rajinder Kumar Raina , his son - in - law , his daughter Saweti and his family members for providing opportunity to NDS to honour and felicitate Raina. |
