JAMMU, May 4: The Zonal Level Inter-school Sports competition in the age group of U-14/17 in Girls section was inaugurated in the Zorawar Singh Sports Complex Reasi in the disciplines of Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho.
In the competition, large numbers of girls drawn from various schools of Reasi Zone participated in this competition. Romesh Chander Mishra, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Reasi was the chief guest on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering Mishra said through sports girls inculcate the qualities of self- confidence, self-esteem and live their life with full dignity. He also said that sports can also learn how to overcome from stress, anxiety, fear and build women emotionally as well as physically strong.
The tournament is being organized as a part of Annual Sports calendar by District Youth Services & Sports Officer Reasi under the overall supervision of Dr Saleem ur Rehman, Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K. |
