WCWS organizes free eye surgeries

Jammu, May 5: We Care Welfare Society (WCWS), Jammu, J&K in association with Swami Vivekananda Medical Charitable Hospital, Ambphalla organized free eye surgeries of cataract and other eye complications today.
The patients were admitted in hospital yesterday, one day earlier, for carrying out medical tests sugar, BP, etc; and administration of medicines, as required for these operations.
All arrangements for their food and stay were made by the hospital administration and we feel highly obliged for help and cooperation extended for this noble cause. 17 patients turned up for operations and checkup, out of which 14 were operated for cataract.
Sarpanch Shoba Rani, her husband Chander Shekher Sharma and Naib (Rajinder Gupta) General Secretary Sarpanch Romal Singh helped the patients to come to the hospital.
Free medicines and spectacles were provided to the patients. We record out great appreciation for Dr Debapriya Chatterjee, Eye Surgeon, for her generosity and untiring efforts, who operated so many patients free of cost, for this noble cause.
Chairman Prof M. Sadiq Nargal, President Dr R. K Gupta, General Secretary Rajinder Gupta, Treasurer Er Kuldeep Uppal, Vice President Smt. Sudershan Gupta, Yogeshwar Verma, Executive member Col. G.C. Raina, Madan Gopal Langer, Bachan Kumar, Sh. Harish Gupta, Smt. Neelam Gupta, Nikhil Gupta, Vaibhav Sharma, Gulshan Vir Gupta, Shallu Arora, Surinder Singh & Sunil Gupta were present on the occasion.
