Bhaderwah, May 8: A market checking was conducted under the directions of Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharti. The inspecting team comprising of Tehsildar Bhaderwah Zeeshan, SDPO Iftikhar Ahmed, SHO Munir Ahmed Khan along with employees of Municipal Committee Bhadarwah and CAPD and Representative of Asstt Controlling Legal Metrology Deptt Doda inspected Pasri bazaar, Takia chowk market, Seri bazaar and Jai road and seized 05kg of illegal polybags along with collectionof Rs 2100 and 5800 by the officers of CAPD and Metrology respectively as penalty/fine from various violators. The inspecting team cleared off encroached area unauthorizedly used by the vendors for exhibition of goods that was causing greater hindrance to vehicular traffic and free public movement. Besides, Mutton vendors were warned and instructed to maintain hygiene of mutton and usage of refrigerator for storing mutton. It was also given out that a routine check will be done for regulating prices, quality of wide range of commodities in the local market. Shopkeepers especially fruit sellers and vegetables sellers were warned of over profiting during the holy month of Ramadan and thereafter also. They were warned that if a complaint of overcharging is received, a strict action will be taken against them. |
