| Major fire tragedy averted | | |  Early Times Report
Kishtwar, May 8: A major fire tragedy was today evening averted by the alertness of the local inhabitants of Abu Bakar Mohallah after a house situated in the densely populated area of Kishtwar town caught a fire.
As per the details available with Early Times, the neighbors after noticing the flames and smoke coming out of the backside of the house of Sajjad Ahmed Shad and raise the alarm as a result of which large number of people including the neighbors rush to the spot and started rescue operation. The local youths by using water from underground water tanks manage to doze the flames and prevented the fire from spreading to adjoining house which could be proven as fatal as their was no scope of fire tender could reach the spot due to narrow lains. Later police team from Police Station Kishtwar also rush to the spot to access the damages.
The local inhabitants told the Early Times that despite repeated request to the District Administration for installation of fire service water connection points in the Mohallah, nothing was done. |
