Poonch, May 8: Historical Mughal Road a vital road link to connect Kashmir Valley with the rest of country via Shopian and Poonch districts is becoming a safe haven for illegal activities, source said here today.
They said the smuggling of the drugs , wild animals , bovines was going on unabated yet no check or vigil is being maintained on this road to keep an eye on the miscreants they added. Sources said anti-social elements were waiting for the opening of the road. According to them, these elements will start their activities as soon as the road opens. People have sought adequate security measures along the highway to thwart any untoward incident as road was quite open to anti social elements who can carry out anytime any incident they added. |
