Anti- drug campaign: DIPR hosts symposium, cultural prog at Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, May 11: Department of Information & Public Relations Cultural Wing, Jammu in collaboration with District Information Centre, Udhampur today organized a symposium on the topic "Prevention of Drug Abuse" here at Anand Bhartiya Vidyalaya Ban Rathain.
Chairman of the host school, Krishan Lal Abrol was the chief guest on the occasion.
About 18 students of the institution participated in the contest and expressed their views on the topic.
Kalyani of 8th class clinched first position while Boomika and Neha of 9th class bagged 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Addressing the students, the chief guest briefed the students about the growing menace of drug abuse and asked the teaching staff and the students to work together to save the society and eradicate this menace of drug addiction. The cultural programme featured theme based skits, dances besides screening of motivational video clips.
Later, the chief guest distributed prizes and certificates among the participants.
