| Four injured during anti-encroachment drive | | |

Poonch, May 12: Two person got injured during an anti-encroachment drive launched by municipal council Poonch in fort market. A source said that municipal council Poonch launched an anti encroachment drive which was opposed by the locals triggering chaos in the area.
"A JCB machine was pressed while as personnel from both police and para military were also deployed on the spot but locals tried to stop the drive," a sourc said . He further said local traders objected to the drive and accused municipal authorities of harassing local traders. Four person sustained injuries after scuffle broke during the drive but situation was brought under control with reinforcement of police on spot,"a police official Said. He said all the injured were taken to local hospital for treatment. |
