JAMMU, May 12 : Shri Kailakh Jyotish Evam Vedic Sansthan Trust organized 'Kailakh Karuna Abhiyan', a drive of feeding grains and water to birds here today at Raipur Domana. On this occasion, former minister and BJP leader Sham Lal Sharma, was chief guest and Jammu Bar Association President Abhinav Sharma was the guest of honour" while special guest in this function was Dr C M Seth (IFS) Retd. Speaking on the occasion, Sham Lal Sharma, chief guest, first of all praises the resource person of the programme for taking such an initiative. He said feeding grain and giving water to birds during this hot summer is the great step taken by the trust under the president ship of Mahant Rohit Shastri. He also said that we all have to save the natural resources of water. Moreover, for feeding birds what we have to do is to hang bowls on the balconies and on our roofs and all common areas of our houses, we must make it a point to put out a bowl of water for them to drink. Together, we must do something such as this which would benefit the birds. These small acts are a mark of our true humanity and we must all learn to do such acts of spiritual and social merit. On this occasion, Abhinav Sharma, said that birds after all make our environment beautiful and they should in turn kept well by us. Likewise, birdfeeders can also be installed in our homes so that any bird that flies by our house can eat and drink. Chairman of Team Jammu Zorawar Singh Jamwal said that the initiative taken up is praiseworthy. Jamwal announced to donate 1000 bird feeding bowls to the trust. President Mahant Rohit said that the trust has started 'Kailakh Karuna Abhiyan' with 10 thousand bowls for feeding grain and water to birds.
