Dept of Punjabi,JU Organises One Day National Seminar

Jammu, May 13- Department of Punjabi, University of Jammu, Jammu in collaboration with Punjab Kala Parishad, Chandigarh organized one day National Seminar in 'Ajoki Punjabi Vartak : Mahatav Ate Sambhawnava' - at Prof. Gian Chand Memorial Seminar Hall.
Prof. Keshav Sharma, Dean Academic Affairs, University of Jammu, Jammu was the Chief Guest on this occasion congratulated the faculty of Department of Punjabi for undertaking a project of organising one day seminar on 'Ajoki Punjabi Vartak : Mahatav Ate Sambhawnava' and hoped that the programme would prove to be beneficial to all the concerned members, students and scholars of Punjabi Department.
Ninder Ghughyanvi in his Inaugural address said that such programmes will benefit the students and scholars of Punjabi Department. He emphasized on the need of such more events in future also. He also expressed his views on Ajoki Punjabi Vartak- the contemporary Punjabi prose.
Prof. Rajinderpal Singh Brar in his Key Note address underlined various aspects of the prevalent state of affairs in Punjabi prose literature in Punjab particularly and other places where Punjabi literature is being created. He talked in detail about various possibilities in the field of Punjabi prose.
In his address Padam i Dr. Surjit Patar appreciated the initiative taken by the Punjabi Department of University of Jammu for organizing one day Seminar on the important issue like 'Ajoki Punjabi Vartak : Mahatav Ate Sambhawnava'
Pritam Singh, Asstt. Professor from the Department conducted the proceedings of the function and Dr. Harjinder Singh, Assistant Professor presented the vote of thanks. S. Manjeet Singh, Dr. Kamaljeet Kour and Dr. Kusum assisted the conduct of the programme. All faculty members, intellectuals, writers, students & scholars of different Departments of Jammu University were present in the function.
