Early Times Report
Jammu, May 14: A junior rank officer in Electrical Maintenance and Rural Electrification (EMRE) division Kathua of Power Development Department has been continuously giving damn to the order of his senior officer and showing deliberate reluctance to conduct physical verification of the division store.
Moreover, this junior rank officer flaunts in the department of having strong connections in higher ups in order to instill fear among the senior to avoid any action for alleged irregularities in the store. "Despite repeated reminders to the junior rank officer, division office written an official letter to his directing to carry out annual physical verification of the store for the year of 2018-19 but every time he has been defying the order," they said further adding that continuous non compliance of his senior's order has created chaos in the division resulting the office of Chief Engineer (EM&RE) has been reprimanding to the head of the division for not submitting the report.
The junior rank officer is so rude in his conduct that after being failed to submit annual report, he openly threatens his seniors of Vigilance action against the division and flaunts to have connection with Governor's Administration and mostly remains on leave these days, deliberately to avoid physical verification of store. As per sources there are many irregularities in store and a huge scam is likely to come to fore on verification of store that is why he has been avoiding the verification process. "The Chief Engineer office had issued a letter on 15-03-2019 to the division and it was clearly directed to compete the physical verification within month but it has been more than two months but order was not adhered to," they said further adding the seeing the continued denial mode of the store incharge, the concerned office compelled to write letter to him just five days ago instructing him to submit report within two days but till date no report has been submitted.
