Nirvana Academy Organizes Dance and Singing programme "Uchi Udaan"

JAMMU, May 14: Academy a registered cultural club organised dance and singing competition "Uchi Udaan" at K.L Saigal Hall Jammu with the aim to encourage and provide an opportunity to the specially able children, artists and youth of the Jammu Region.
Sham Lal Bassan, Municipal Councilor Ward no. 48 was the chief guest while Arbind Dogra Music Director from Adoman Music Mumbai, M.K Badyal N.F.B J&K State Convener and Nivedita Sukla, Principal L.B.M Sightless School were guest of honour on the occasion. Er. Rishi Kilam was the Special guest on the occasion.
Programme commenced with the Group Dance performance by L.B.M Sightless School Students on song "Mere Papa", which was highly appreciated by the audience followed by a Singing performance by Students of S.O.S School. Dance and Singing competition in different age group categories was conducted after the performances.
As many as 40 participants from different schools, institutions performed under the guidance of Chief Organisers Gurpreet Singh and Chandni Singh.
Kuldeep Raina H.O.D Music Department, Smiley Tanuja Bollywood Dance Choreographer and Mukteshi Sharma noted classical singer adjudged the dance and singing competition. Parveen and Jagandeep Singh accompanied the singers on harmonium and tabla respectively.
Shifali Sharma, Monika Badgal, Adesh Kumar and Rehain Prince were felicitated on the occasion for their outstanding work in their respective fields.
Chief Guest Sham Lal appreciated the efforts of Gurpreet Singh and Chandni Singh for organizing such an event for children especially for sightless school students, which not only created an awareness but also provided an opportunity to the specially able and sightless children and youth of far flung areas of Jammu region.
Founder, Nirvana Academy Hitesh Badyal thanked chief guest, parents and other dignitaries for giving their valuable time. Monika Badgal anchored the programme.
Ritika Deep, Nancy Aryan and Manya stands first, Second and third respectively in kids dance category where as Paarth Pandita, Tavneet Kour bags first prize, second and third prize in junior dance category was won by Dhruv Goutam and Raghav respectively.
In Singing Kids category Nitya balaji won first prize where as Rishika and Bhumika Chib got second and third prize respectively. Netra Tickoo won first prize in junior folk song category. Shivani Jyotshi, Vansh Thakur and Divya stands first, second and third respectively in Junior light singing
In Senior light singing Shubham, Ruksana, Jaspreet Kour won first, second and third prize.
In Folk Song Senior Category Sunaina Patyal got first, Sahil Bhat won second and Paarthi Dhar stands thirds.
All the participants were felicitated with the medals and certificate of participation on the occasion.
