|Two peddlers arrested, bhukki recovered |
JAMMU, May 15: Continuing its crackdown against drug menace under Operation Sanjeevani, District Police Jammu arrested two drug peddlers and recovered bhukki.
A joint police party of PS Bagh-e-Bahu (led by SHO, Insp Sunil Kumar Sharma) and SOG Jammu (led by SI Shabir Kohli), during checking near Environmental Park, stopped a truck bearing registration no. PB65K 1613, for checking. The driver and conductor were identified as Dalbir Singh, son of Karnail Singh, resident of Ward no. 13, Bhagwan Pura, Ludhiana and Lakhwinder Singh, son of Balkar Singh, resident of Machhi Wada, Ludhiana, respectively. On checking, 210 kg of Bhuki and Rs. 90,000 cash were recovered from their possession. In relation to this, FIR No. 44/2019 under section 8/15 NDPS has been registered in PS Bagh-e-Bahu, the accused have been arrested and investigation is underway.
