Early Times Report
Doda, May 15: CDPO Marmat distributed ration to Anganwadi workers from Khellani illagaly.
As per reports available with Early Times, The CDPO office of Marmat tehsil closed since long time after the establishment in the year 2012 but still the station was not functional from Marmat tehisl reason best known to higher authorities. It is very unforunate that after giving the status of Tehsil in Marmat non benefiicial as CDPO office is functioning from another place Khellani, Doda, due to 14 panchayats are suffering.
Reports said that, After six month, ICDS centers are running without ration, but today concerned CDPO Marmat distributed the ration to anganwadi workers which comes from Marmat area and have travelled more than 40 kilometers from Doda headquarter to collect the ration despite presence of office/store at Goha tehsil. Public of Marmat are surprised about this illegal distribution of ration.
When telephonically contacted to CDPO Marmat about this matter, she said Deputy Commissioner Doda has given her ordered to make the distribution process from Khellani instead of Goha office. It seems that, a big corruption is going on in the department which raised many question.
In this regard, a International Human Rights Organisation unit along with, Sarpanchs & panchs conveyed meeting, demanded the functional of CDPO office at tehsil Marmat, take strick action against erring officials and appealed District Administration Doda to initiate enquiry.
