| Doon International School celebrates motherhood | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 15: Keeping up with the tradition of celebrating motherhood, Doon International School (DIS), Jammu honoured and felicitated the mothers of DIS on the occasion of International Mother's Day. The key idea was to highlight the importance of a mother in the life of a child and make the mothers feel special for their tireless dedication and sacrifice in shaping their children's growth and enlightening their tender minds for a bright future.
A fun-filled and purposeful extravaganza was organized in 'The Grand' wherein Amina Shafi was chief guest. The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp followed by the welcome address by the Principal Dr Vikesh Kaur highlighting the pivotal role of a mother who loves her child unconditionally and bestows immeasurable care and happiness throughout her lifetime. She saluted all the mothers for making the life of their children very special in their own way. An electrifying and emotional cultural programme was presented by the students appreciating their mothers' efforts and dedicated the entire event for their immense love and sacrifice. The mothers of the school were provided a prodigious opportunity to showcase their talents and the same was displayed with abundant enthusiasm and zeal by mothers, which was followed by a sumptuous lunch.
The 'Super Mom' title was awarded to Ranju, 1st runner up to Rachna and 2nd runner up was bagged by Mehak for their enthralling performances and relevant contribution in the programme. Other winners were felicitated with consolation prizes by the chief guest. |
