Results from Jammu Kashmir LS seats may not affect Modi or Rahul
5/16/2019 11:10:39 PM
Since there are six Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir their results may not affect the chances of Modi or Rahul. The Lok Sabha elections are to take place in Jammu and Kashmir from April 11 and the main issues in the campaign are sans development. Neither the politicians contesting the elections are bothered about power supply or the supply of drinking water. Nobody is interested in the development of roads. No issue of building hospitals, no issue of opening of schools and other educational institutions. Neither the people nor the contesting candidates are interested in witnessing development of major projects. Nobody is concerned about poor irrigation and none is ready to take up the cause of farmers and their poor production. Neither the contesting candidates nor the people are worried about the high rise of export of all eatables. In fact the economy is import related and the export is poor when compared to import.
The only issue that people and the contesting candidates are worried about Article 370 and Article 35-A. If the special status granted to the state is revoked the separation of the state from India is guaranteed. AFSPA is more important than living of people in a better atmosphere. Nobody is interested in the improvement of railways. None is willing to hold the previous Government responsible for poor development and the implementation of various central development projects. Nobody is willing to end corruption. In fact corruption has soaked the lives of people in Kashmir and those who are corrupt are rich and wealthy.
The only issues that matter with politicians and the people are related to honour human rights and end excesses of security forces. But nobody talks about the mensace of militancy. If the contesting candidates and their voters talks about the menace of militants they may lick the dust. Issues are different from rest of the country. In other states development and law and order dominate the issues. Besides this various development agencies are berated for poor implementation of the development projects. There is demand for new rail routes to be started in fact six look Sasha seats may not change the dimensions in Delhi. It is the state UP, Andhra Pradesh etching that may change the dimensions or the a Government will beheaded by Modi or by Rahul Gandhi. It has been seen that assemble elections are important in Jammu and Kashmir than the look Sasha poll.
