| Police solve murder case | | |

Jammu, May 19: Police on Sunday claimed that it solved a murder in Reasi district by arresting the main accused and his four accomplices.
A police official said that one Mushtaq Ahmed s/o Ghulam Rasool r/o village Khayala Reasi and approached the police with his father in an injured condition and registered a complaint that when he and his father were working in the fields the accused along with eight others with criminal intention assaulted them with an intention to kill over some land dispute.
On their complaint FIR no. 105/2019 u/s 341/307/ 323/147 RPC was registered and investigations were taken up. The injured was taken to hospital for medical checkup. Where from the injured was referred to GMC Jammu. But he succumbed to his injuries enroute. On this section 302 was invoked. The body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs after getting conducted the postmortem.
A special team led by Inspector Ashwani Sharma SHO Reasi alongwith S.I Ravi Kumar and S.I Purshotam Sharma I/C P.P Jyotipuram were constituted and massive manhunt was started to nab the culprits.
Five accused were apprehended within four hours.
The arrests were made under the supervision of Wasim Hamdani Dysp Hqrs Reasi, Shiv kumar Chauhan Addl.SP Reasi and under the overall command of Nisha Nathyal SSP Reasi. |
