Jammu, May 19: Reports revealed that District Police Poonch in its special drive against drugs recovered 120 Gram of Charas from the driver of a truck.
Carrying forward the special drive, police party laid a surprise Naka at behramgala on Mughal road. During checking and frisking, a vehicle bearing registration no. HR56A1717 driven by Samdeer Singh S/o Umad Singh R/o Bella khori District Jind State Haryana was signaled to stop for checking. During search, about 120 grams of Charas was recovered from the driver of the vehicle.
In this regard FIR has been registered in Police Station surankote against the driver. Investigation has been geared up to ascertain the source and other persons involved in smuggling of contrabands. |
