| Govt fails to provide basic facilities to people of Jammu region: Partap | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 19: Residents of ward 32, Om Nagar came out on the road under the banner of Yuva Panthers against the failure of the government to provide basic facilities to people here today.
Early morning, the residents and YP activists gathered at Main Chowk and raised slogans against Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Public Health and Engineering (PHE) Department & Public Works Department (PWD). The protest was orgnised by Arun Mehra (Distt. Vice President YP) & Kapil Dev Mehra (Jammu West Vice President) in the presence of Partap Singh Jamwal (State Vice President YP) along with Bhanu Partap Singh Goria (President Jammu West YP). Addressing the media, Partap Singh Jamwal (State Vice President YP) said that the residents of the area had already intimated the authorities about the dilapidated condition of the road to the department concerned and district administration, but in vain. He further said that due to potholes, the rain water often accumulates over it. It then turns into a mud filled road making difficult to walk. He said that recently many accidents have occurred on this road because of its bad condition and despite that the authorities seem to be in deep slumber. He alleged that the concerned department did not do its job honestly and condition of the road deteriorated. |
