  Jammu, May 19: 3 days Karate Championship concluded here at Jammu which was organized by Jammu District Karate Association. More than 300 participants participated in the  Championship .  On the closing Ceremony Son of Soil Ambedkar Gupta, General Sectary Karate Association Of India ( KAI ) was the special guest. Advocate Vishal Sharma  Asst. Solicitor General J&K Govt was the chief guest where as Surinder Sharma Chairman of  Lord Mahavira Playway School, Amit Sangra 3rd Dan Black Belt Inspector, SHO Bakshi Nagar, Jammu  were  guest of honours on  the occasion. Officials who conducted the bouts were Umesh Rekhi, Sanjay Tutoo, Rajan Jamwal, Tarun Sharma, Palvi Sharma, Vikas Charak, Anup Singh, Sahil Sambyal, Deepa Sharma, Sushil Pandita and Abhijeet Singh. Addressing the young players, the Special guest Ambedkar Gupta asked them to play the game with utmost dedication and work hard to excel in the arena of sports.  They said under the mission, the state government had already given a major boost to the sports in the state, which was really appreciable.  Lauding the players participating in the tournament, they said the sportspersons were blessed with several qualities and one of them was that it helped them develop a team spirit during the game, which could help them to excel in their lives. |
