Early Times Report
Doda, May 20: Around 3 years have passed since PMGSY started constrction work on Sewa-Sunarthawa bridge, but still it is incomplete.
Speaking To Early Times, a local of Chiralla Raja Ekhlaq said that, more than 3 years have passed since the PMGSY authorities started the construction of bridge over Sewa Nallah at Chiralla block in Doda district but till date the work has not been completed.
He said that, the department has left the construction work midway after laying the deck slab without any reason.
The residents are eagerly waiting from past many years for completion of bridge as it connects dozens of villages included Sunarthawa, Blorithawa, Gosti, Panchai Bhella, Thelala, and many more, the under going construction bridge is only one kilometer from Chiralla heaquarters and is very use full for thousands of residents as it is on at Sunarthawa circular road.
He said the department took 3 years to construct the structures of the few meters long bridge, but still not completed which speaks volumes about the callous attitude of the concerned department hand glow with contractors towards the miseries of the people.
It seems that, the contractors got his money and left the bridge incomplete as we are not able to understand why the authorities are not interested to comeplete this bridge.
Assitant Executive Enginneer PMGSY Akther Hussain said that, due to Model Code of of Conduct, DDC Doda asked to stop construction work.
He ensured that construction would start again within few days.
