| Religious scholar booked for sensitive remarks | | |
Jammu, May 21 : Police authorities have booked a religious scholar for making sensitive remarks during a religious congregation in Rajouri.
The issue came to fore when a video went viral on a social media page namely 'Awaaz News' in which religious scholar Moulana Mohammad Farooq was seen delivering his address during a religious congregation prayer.
In the video, the said religious scholar was heard making some sensitive comments having the potential to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of Rajouri.
Taking note of it, case FIR No. 285/2019 under section 153-A RPC and 66 IT Act registered in Rajouri police station and said person has been booked and arrested. Police authorities are also mulling legal action against the social media page admin on which the said video was uploaded.
