5/21/2019 11:19:24 PM
Early Times Report
POONCH, May 21: A delegation of teachers under the banner of All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation led by Darshan Bharti, State Vice President and Mohinder Bali, District President met Chief Education Officer Poonch and apprised him of the problems being faced by the teachers community due to poor response of the education Department on various burning issues.
The delegation highlighted that the Education department has not implemented transfer Policy in Poonch district for the past 5 to 7 years due to which the teachers/masters who have been serving in for flung areas are compelled to remain there where as some blue eyed are enjoying choice postings. The delegation criticized CEO Poonch for not initiating transfers of teachers on the proposals already submitted by the district transfer committee. They demanded transfer of teachers who have completed their required tenure as per the transfer Policy and issuance of formal order in this regard.
The delegation also criticized Education department for its dictatorial order where they have directed all the institutions to install biometric machines for biometric attendance without knowing the fact, whether they ( Schools) have required funds to buy machines or not. It is pertinent to mention hare that there are over 900 Primary Schools in Poonch district having paucity of funds. Neither they have required funds nor have they directed to buy machines from that particular fund. The teachers demanded clear cut direction that which fund should be used for the purchase of Biometric Mancine.
The teachers also demanded change in School timing in Winter areas from 10 am to4 Pm to 9 am to 3 PM. They also demanded clear cut directions regarding implementation of Learning outcomes and Parvaaz Scheme. Some other issues were also discussed in the meeting.
CEO Poonch, Vijay Bhagat, listened the issues sympathetically and assured that he would discuss the issues with the Director School Education Jammu and would act accordingly.
The delegation was comprised of Ramesh Kumar, Jeevan Parkash Sharma, Amarjeet Singh, C L Sharma, Neetan Sharma, Jasbir Singh and Dharminder Shastri.
