Pouni, May 22: GHS pouni under the guidelines of Nirmal Choudhary, Chief Education Officer Reasi organises Symposium and Poster making Contest followed by an awareness rally on the theme "Our Biodiversity, Our Food, Our Health" on the special occasion of International Day of Biodiversity in its school premises here today.
Students and Teachers actively took part in activities organized under the stewardship of Sanjeev Kumar Sharma Incharge Eco Club who briefed the students regarding the dire need to maintain ecological balance.
Sanal Gandotra, Anamika Abrol, Rabneet Kour excelled in Symposium while in poster making Megha, Kiran and Komal Bhaseen adjudged First, second and third respectively who were distributed with prizes by Vaishno Devi HM of the institution who while speaking on the occasion lauded the contributions of Staff students and Incharge Ecoclub for successful organization of the event. Ujagar Singh Master & Daleep Kumar Master were the keynote speakers. The program culminated to end with the pledge ceremony by students and staff to plant more and more trees and to take care of already planted trees in the school campus.
