| GM Deptt seizes vehicles involved in Illegal mining | | |

Vijaypur, May 23: On the continuation drive against the illegal mining, the Geology and mining department samba claimed to seize four vehicles that are found illegal mining at Balole Nallah near National Highway in Bari Brahmana area of District Samba.
According to the report, the District administration samba are already imposed the 144 section on rivers in District Samba for mining, a team of Geology and mining department samba led by District Mining officer Vishal Dogra and SHO Bari Brahmana Darshan Singh make a surprise visit in Balole Nallah and found four vehicles involved in illegal mining, DMO Samba immediately seized the four vehicles on the spot who were found for illegal mining and they are violation of the norms near Balole Bridge river National highway.
While talking with District Mining officer Samba Vishal Dogra, he said that this is not first when the Geology and mining department samba is taking action against the violators. He further added that there are repeat offenders. In this month the District Mining office Samba has already imposed a fine of around 50,000 on such violations and in last year.
Many times the department gave warning and notices served to them time to time but after that, they continue violation the norms and transporting river bed material and sand from Balole Nallah, he added. |
