Munish Gupta to contest Assembly polls from Gandhi Nagar constituency
5/23/2019 11:20:03 PM
Jammu, May 23: Editor Early Times and prominent businessman, Munish Gupta, on Thursday said that he would contest the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency in Jammu.
"I strongly believe that Jammu needs people, who can strive for a change rather than depending on the people who have been ruling us for the past so many years," Gupta said.
He said, "All of us need to come together to empower a common man and my aim is to work for the empowerment of a common Jammuite."
Gupta said, "Jammu needs strong voices to counter the anti-Jammu narrative. All of us till date have relied on leaders of one or other party to become our true representative but till date everyone has disappointed us. It's high time to come together and strive for what we deserve."
Gupta said, "Politicians make tall promises to seek votes but after getting elected they tend to forget the people who vote for them. This culture has to change and this can only be done by giving new people a chance."
"I urge people of Gandhi Nagar constituency to come forward and support me for a change," said, Gupta.
