Jammu, May 23: Continuing its crackdown against drug menace under Operation Sanjeevani, Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin.
A joint team of District Special Branch and PS Nowabad, led by SHO, Insp Neeraj Bhagat, apprehended a person namely, Tariq Ahmed Bhatt son of Gh Mohammad Bhatt resident of Shangas Anantnag near JP Chowk. On search, around 5 gm of heroin like substance were recovered from his possession.
In this regard, FIR No. 77/2019 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at PS Nowabad and investigation has been initiated.
